About the Summer School

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in collaboration with Arizona State University, University of Osnabrück, and University of Cambridge, coordinates a summer school program, workshop/poster session, and master classes on ancient and medieval languages and linguistics.

The summer school will offer intensive language classes and linguistic classes on Historical & Diachronic Linguistics. The aim is to attract students and scholars to study ancient and medieval languages in a relaxed yet focused and stimulating atmosphere that promotes in-depth analysis and discussion. The 11th Naxos Summer School will also be organizing a workshop/poster session on "Linguistic Diachronies: A Contrastive Approach".

Research Project: This summer school is part of the research project 'A Corpus-based Valency Lexicon for a Contrastive and Diachronic Study of Ancient & Medieval Languages', funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) (Grant No. 20577) within the 3rd Call for HFRI Research Projects to Support Faculty Members and Researchers.
