Accommodation

Accommodation during the summer school (20-24 July 2026) is covered by the Erasmus+ mobility grant for selected students.

Getting to Naxos

Naxos is accessible by both air and sea, with regular connections from Athens and other Greek islands.

By Air

  • Naxos Island National Airport (JNX): Direct flights from Athens (approximately 45 minutes)
  • Several daily flights operated by Olympic Air and Sky Express
  • The airport is located about 3 km from Naxos Town (Chora)

By Ferry

  • From Piraeus Port (Athens): Regular ferry services (3.5-6 hours depending on ferry type)
  • High-speed ferries: Faster but more expensive option
  • Conventional ferries: Slower but more economical
  • Multiple daily departures in summer
Travel Covered by Grant: The Erasmus+ mobility grant helps cover your travel expenses to and from Naxos. Detailed travel arrangements and reimbursement procedures will be provided to accepted students.

Weather

July in Naxos offers ideal summer weather:
